Gaylaxicon will provide attendees with a greater depth and breadth of GLBT related topics than other SF conventions. Attendees also can converse and spend time with other fans who examine the genre through queer life experiences. He specializes in using anthropomorphic animal characters to explore gay relationship experiences in a variety of settings. Gold has won a record ten Ursa Major awards and was a finalist for the 2010 Small Press Award from the Washington Science Fiction Association.
